March 21st, 2024 – Marking the first anniversary of Summoners War: Chronicles’ global launch, the famous animated series Slayers TRY comes to Com2uS’ hit MMORPG today in a new collaboration update, bringing five new characters and some fresh content to the game. Players can earn rewards by completing missions specific to each Slayers TRY character and by participating in various in-game events.
As part of this collaboration, five Slayers TRY characters will arrive as Monsters in Summoners War: Chronicles. Each collaboration character has a battle concept that preserves the original traits. The main character Lina employs long and short-range attacks utilizing various magic, while Gourry, uses a sword to fight at close range, but can use the sword of light to attack from a distance. Lina and the swordsmen Gourry and Zelgadis are available with the update today while the shaman Amelia and the priest Xellos will be joining the Monsters on April 4th.
Each character possesses two attributes. Monsters with light or dark attributes can be acquired by reaching the maximum level with each character’s affinity.
- Lina: The main character has fire and dark attributes.
- Gourry: The swordsman of light has water and light attributes.
- Zelgadis: This magic swordsman has wind and dark attributes.
- Amelia: Saillune’s shaman has wind and light attributes.
- Xellos: The mysterious priest has water and dark attributes.
A collaboration quest scenario and a special dungeon, Heretic’s Underground Shrine is also available. This event quest contains the story of how Lina and her group came to the world of Summoners War: Chronicles and by completing various quests, users will be able to enter Heretic’s Underground Shrine.
Various events will also be held to commemorate the collaboration. First, a pickup summon will be held until May 2nd to meet the Slayers TRY characters. Players can also participate in a 21-day check-in event starting today. In addition, users can obtain rewards depending on the accumulated amount of event goods acquired in the special dungeon, which can be used to exchange for summoning scrolls and various enhanced materials. Additional rewards can be granted by completing five missions for each collaboration character.
Since its global launch in March last year, Summoners War: Chronicles has gained wide popularity around the world, reaching the top 5 in global sales on Steam, the top 10 in sales in 13 regions of the Apple App Store, and the top 10 in sales in 10 regions of the Google Play Store.
