The West Unleashes New Feature

InnoGames released a new feature today for its online role-playing game The West. The new feature called, “The Adventures” allows players to fight with and against each other in a turn-based 3D battle. The winners of the combats can look forward to unique rewards. Met Elvenar, de zopas aangekondigde nieuwe online strategiegame van InnoGames, begeeft de Duitse ontwikkelaar zich op onbekend terrein. Spelers krijgen immers voor het eerst de kans om een exotische fantasiewereld te ontdekken. De focus van het spel ligt op het uitbouwen van je sprookjesdorp tot een magische metropool, maar spelers kunnen ook handel drijven of de wijde wereld intrekken. De verkenningstocht van deze wonderlijke wereld begint binnen enkele maanden in je browser, maar later zal het spel worden uitgebreid naar mobiele platformen.

Nooit eerder tikte een spel van ontwikkelaar InnoGames deze magische grens sneller aan. Dankzij deze vliegensvlugge expansie is het online browserspel goed op weg om zijn legendarische voorganger Tribal Wars, met 55 miljoen geregistreerde gebruikers een van de grootste Europese browsergames ooit, het vuur aan de schenen te leggen. InnoGames begint vandaag met een internationale televisiecampagne voor zijn meest recente strategietitel Tribal Wars 2. De 30 seconden durende tv-spot katapulteert kijkers pardoes in het midden van een middeleeuws oorlogstoneel. Voor de ontwikkeling van de kwalitatieve spot werd de ontwikkelaar bijgestaan door ervaren partners: de animatie werd verzorgd door pixable, de muziek werd gecomponeerd door Knights of Soundtrack, terwijl het Amerikaanse Discovery de voice-over voor zijn rekening nam. Het resultaat kan ook bewonderd worden op het officiële YouTube-kanaal van de game.

Reis door de geschiedenis op je iPhone – Forge of Empires app is uit via @cosmocover

InnoGames lanceert vandaag de iPhone-versie van hun succesvolle online spel Forge of Empires. De iPad-versie van deze titel is al sinds mei van dit jaar op de App Store te vinden, maar vanaf nu genieten ook iPhone-gebruikers van een geoptimaliseerde interface, aangepaste schermgrootte en scherpere graphics. Tevens werd de performance grondig onder de loep genomen zodat het spel bolt als een trein op alle modellen vanaf de iPhone 4. De game is nu verkrijgbaar op de App Store. Net zoals op iPad, kunnen spelers ook op hun iPhone inloggen met een browseraccount, maar ze kunnen uiteraard op hun mobiele toestel gratis een compleet nieuwe account creëren. Versterk de stadswallen – Tribal Wars 2 gaat in open beta #MMO #Browsergame @innogames via @cosmocover

De toonaangevende online spelontwikkelaar InnoGames nodigt alle spelers uit om deel te nemen aan de open bèta voor Tribal Wars 2. Geïnteresseerde stammen kunnen zich vanaf vandaag aansluiten bij het nieuwe online strategiespel. Momenteel is het spel beschikbaar in het Engels en Duits, maar de komende weken worden daar nog eens 17 extra talen aan toegevoegd. Met de start van het langverwachte RisingGenerals zet InnoGames zijn succesvolle doortocht langs het browsergamelandschap verder. Vanaf vandaag kunnen heel wat spelers, die zich op voorhand geregistreerd hebben, voor het eerst deel uitmaken van de epische realtime gevechten.Indien spelers een betacode in hun mailbox hebben gevonden, kunnen ze deze activeren op beta.risinggenerals.com. De Duitse ontwikkelaar zal in de nabije toekomst ook codes verloten via social media en allerhande loterijen op websites. Spelers die zich niet hebben aangemeld kunnen dit nog steeds doen via www.risinggenerals.com om in de nabije toekomst kans te maken op een beta code. Today InnoGames announced to hosts a 96-hour long game jam on the show floor of this years’ gamescom in cologne. During the event, a total of 12 participants will develop 3 entirely new games – from the very first idea to a playable product. The Game jam starts on Wednesday, August 13 at 2pm and will end on Sunday, August 17, the last day of gamescom. At 2pm that day, InnoGames will officially announce the winning game at the booth. Four InnoGames employees and eight external developers will form the three competing teams. At the InnoGames booth C15 in hall 10.1, visitors and media will be able to not only have a look at the development process throughout gamescom, but also to test the latest versions of the unfinished games.

Today InnoGames launched the Closed Beta to its strategy-MMO Tribal Wars 2. The successor to strategy hit Tribal Wars will start with a moderate number of players to first ensure server stability – over the course of the next days, the game will gradually allow for more participants. In order to join the beta as one of the first, pre-registered players should check for a mail containing their beta key. InnoGames is also handing out keys via various social media pages. Those keys can then be activated by logging in or registering on beta.tribalwars2.com. The Closed Beta will start with the browser version of the game, iOS and Android will follow with the Open Beta launch. The Tribal Wars 2 team also published a new video, calling all players to arms.

InnoGames just published a 90 seconds launch trailer for its upcoming cross-platform strategy MMO Rising Generals. It offers a roundup of the most relevant game features like base building, recruitment and units, as well as espionage. The video includes an animated introduction sequence and a lot of gameplay material from browser, tablet and smartphone. At Rising Generals, players will be able to use one account for all three platforms: browser, Android and iOS. The game is supposed to be released this summer. For the video production, InnoGames was supported by Take Off Studios and imascore.

Today InnoGames launched the Hephaestus Forge summer event for its ancient-Greek strategy game Grepolis. The legendary blacksmith of the Greek gods is offering some valuable treasure chests but he will only give them away in exchange for divine orbs. Those orbs can be found by the Grepolis population when players perform regular tasks like city building, research or recruitment. The more active the players are, the higher their chance to find some orbs. However the number of orbs that can found on any given day is limited to ten.

InnoGames just released the long-awaited iPad version of its award-winning online game Forge of Empires. From now on, Forge of Empires is available for download on the App store – players can login on the iPad with their browser account, switch back and forth between devices or create an entirely new account on the tablet. The user interface has been optimized for touchscreen and supports multitouch-gestures. Additionally, the game’s reworked graphics fully utilize the iPads high-resolution retina-tablets. Today InnoGames released additional information on its upcoming strategy game Rising Generals. During E3 2014, the German publisher will demo cross-platform gameplay across iOS-, Android- and browser-based devices. The PvP-heavy MMO has been developed as a native cross-platform game with Adobe Air. To create Rising Generals, InnoGames was supported by game design legend Bruce Shelley, known for his work on Civilization and the Age of Empires series. He will also attend InnoGames’ E3 presence and talk about his involvement in the game.
