Roubaix, France – June 18th, 2026 – The adventure begins. Founded in Roubaix 25 years ago, Ankama creates, publishes and distributes its creations to audiences around the world. From video games and animation to manga and comic books, the studio has built a unique imaginary universe: the Krosmoz.
The universe brings together the studio’s major titles (the DOFUS trilogy, WAKFU, and WAVEN), which unfold across games, animated series, films, books, and comics. With each new project, the narrative and imaginative scope of the Krosmoz expands, delighting millions of fans worldwide.
To begin the next chapter of their 25th anniversary festivities, Ankama invites the public to join them in Annecy, the world capital of animated cinema.
- From June 19th, 2026, The International Animation Film Centre of Annecy will host its annual exhibition: “Ankama, de l’esquisse à l’épopée. 25 ans de création” (“Ankama: From Sketch to Epic – 25 Years of Creation”)
- Available through January 31st, 2027, the exhibition will explore how the world of DOFUS gave birth to WAKFU, then more recently to the WAVEN era. The exhibition shows how Ankama crafts its worlds, characters and stories by blending humor, adventure, mythology and pop culture.
- Key attractions include: screenings, premieres and dedicated events celebrating DOFUS, WAKFU and WAVEN taking place during the day of June 22nd. More information can be found here.

Annual Exhibition
“Ankama: From Sketch to Epic – 25 Years of Creation” highlights the work of the artists, authors, animators, screenwriters, graphic designers, and various dedicated creators that brought the Ankama universe to life over the last 25 years.
Visitors will tour through the major eras of the Krosmoz:
- DOFUS, the founding age and the video game;
- WAKFU, the transition to the animated series and television;
- WAVEN, the next chapter of the transmedia universe.
Between archives, images, sets, production materials and immersive experiences, the exhibition is sure to appeal to long-time fans, families, pop culture enthusiasts, animation lovers, and even newcomers discovering Ankama and the Krosmoz for the first time!
June 22nd: The world premiere and screening of WAVEN in Annecy
3:00 PM: “From WAKFU to WAVEN, the start of a new era”
World Premiere: A special screening featuring the first episode of the WAVEN series, the newest chapter of the Krosmoz.
6:00 PM: The Grand Opening of the exhibition, “Ankama, from sketch to epic”
Opening reception – by invitation only.
6:00 PM: Screening of “Princesse Dragon” (“Dragon Princess”)
At the Haras d’Annecy, Place Fontaine.
8:00 PM: Screening of the movie, Dofus – Book 1: Julith
The first animated feature film set in the DOFUS universe.
