The latest episode highlights the improvements to the broader player experience, including deeper long-term tycoon progression, as well as to the overhauled user interface and many more new gameplay systems. A selection of more than 300 vehicles in the base game, day-one cross-platform mod support, and expanded creative tools will ensure more options than ever for players who want to shape the world in their own way. Whether optimizing a growing transport empire, fine-tuning busy intersections, choosing the right vehicle for the job, or building beautiful cities, Transport Fever 3 gives players more control over their game experience.
From dynamic and climate-aware industries to smarter traffic systems, upgraded rail networks, time-sensitive cargo delivery, and a more powerful line manager tool, the new video shows how these features and many more have been implemented into the game world.
The world of Transport Fever 3 feels more alive, flexible and polished than ever before! The team at Urban Games has made sure to include as many long-time community features and beta-player feedback as possible, making this the most impressive title of the series to date. At first glance, players will notice highlights such as a dynamic day & night mode, weather, and more realistic movements of passengers and vehicles, but Transport Fever 3 has been reworked even more under the hood.
New features such as dynamic spawning of industries based on the surrounding environment, advanced traffic management tools, and an on-time delivery mechanic, allow for fundamentally new ways in which transport networks need to be planned and constructed. Every cargo type now has an expected delivery time: food items need to arrive quickly, while bulk cargo such as stone and coal allows more delivery time.
With on-time delivery included as one of six town requirements for maximum growth, tycoons will need to consider their vehicle choices carefully. The game’s growing roster, which now has more than 300 vehicles in the base game, gives players plenty of ways to pick the right vehicle for the job. Helicopters and airplanes are expensive, but can deliver faster than trucks or trains. Balancing delivery time with budget and accessibility will keep players on their toes!
Successful town development now ties into broader progression. As players perform well across towns, the world population grows and their company rank increases, unlocking additional perks. These perks do not just consist of visual upgrades for the player’s company headquarters, but will also unlock completely new mechanics and systems, such as resource prospection, marketing campaigns and more.
The UI has also received major improvements. One key example is the line manager, the game’s central management tool, which has been significantly enhanced while preserving its core strengths. Lines, stations, and vehicles can now be managed in a single view, with closer integration into 3D world navigation for selecting, extending, and adjusting routes more directly.
There are many more new features including a first look at the brand new modding tools that will be available to all players after release. Together with the already introduced Curated Mods Program, Transport Fever 3 will offer an extensive mod lineup on day one, available to all players for free.
In addition to the new episode, press materials including high-quality screenshots, B-roll footage, and more, can be found in the official press kit.
