Com2uS announced that their new puzzle RPG, The Walking Dead Match 3 Tales, has launched on iOS and Android devices worldwide, in over 170 countries. Developed in-house by developer Novacore, this new mobile title combines puzzle elements with the strategic fun of collection RPGs, all while immersing players in the captivating storylines of The Walking Dead, animated in the style of the original comics. Players are also invited to take part in special in-game launch events to win prizes and rewards.
The Walking Dead Match 3 Tales is a game based on the popular series, The Walking Dead, which depicts an epic tale of survival where the world has been decimated by creatures known as Walkers. Written by author Robert Kirkman, the original comics series was published from 2003 to 2019 and enjoyed success around the world, particularly in North America and Europe, resulting in the series being translated into other forms of media.
Players clear stages by solving match-3 puzzles and by battling with teams created from a roster of nearly 85 characters, each with their own types, jobs, and skills. The key to success lies in having the right team composition depending on the situation and enemy configurations. In addition to battling Walkers, players must face off against enemies who target weaknesses as well as other strong enemies and gigantic bosses. Those interested in PvE and PvP modes are sure to find something they love as well.
The Walking Dead Match 3 Tales features original fan-favorite characters such as Rick Grimes and Negan. The game stays true to the original story of The Walking Dead while adding brand-new storylines animed in the style of the series’ signature comic books. Professional voice actors have also contributed to bringing the characters to life, adding to the immersive experience.
Com2uS is holding several in-game events to celebrate the game’s global release. One event encourages players to invite their friends to play The Walking Dead Match 3 Tales via an invite link. By inviting at least three friends, players can win prizes such as an iPad, Skybound merchandise, and gift cards. There is also an event where players can earn rewards such as Character Search Tokens and Gold by sharing invite links to the game on official communities and social media pages.
