InnoGames sluit 2013 af als haar beste jaar ooit met een totale verwachte groei van 50% – een nieuw omzet-record. Niet alleen groeide het personeelsbestand met 100 personen in 2013, de oudste titel van InnoGames, het tien jaar oude Tribal Wars, beleefde haar meest winstgevende jaar ooit.
Voor InnoGamesmede-oprichter en CEO Hendrik Klindworth is dit een bevestiging van de stabiele groei van het bedrijf: “The growth we have achieved is based on a large number of improvements in our current games and the launch of some companion mobile apps. The fact that we were able to achieve the increase in revenue by our existing games alone illustrates the long-lasting success our portfolio offers, while also proving how stable the economic foundation is at InnoGames.“
InnoGames CFO Armin Busen voegt daaraan toe: “We currently have four main titles: Forge of Empires, The West, Grepolis and Tribal Wars. In 2013, we significantly exceeded the previous year’s sales in all four constituent games. Especially with the current market environment, this profitable growth speaks well for the strong loyalty of our players with our products.“
Verschillende nieuwe projecten van het bedrijf naderen hun voltooiing waarvan het recent aangekondigde Tribal Wars 2 er een van is. Alle toekomstige titels zullen zowel via de browser als via iOS en Android apps speelbaar zijn. Een van de titels welke binnenkort al te spelen zal zijn op het iOS platform is Forge of Empires.
Het bedrijf heeft momenteel 290 werknemers in dienst op het hoofdkantoor. Deze zijn afkomstig uit 22 verschillende landen. Dit jaar verwacht InnoGames 100 extra personen aan te nemen. Om ruimte te creëren voor deze extra werknemers verhuist InnoGames in maart 2014 naar een groter kantoor in Hamburg. Het 6600 vierkante meter grote nieuwe kantoor biedt ruimte voor 500 werkplekken. Het bedrijf wil vooral groeien op het gebied van mobiele ontwikkeling: “We began expanding our mobile development in 2013 and plan to continue this mobile offensive in the new year. The successful launch of Grepolis’ and Tribal Wars’ mobile versions demonstrates the cross-platform needs of our players.“, zegt Klindworth.
Met meer dan 110 miljoen geregistreerde spelers is InnoGames een van ’s werelds grootste ontwikkelaars en uitgevers van online games. Naast Tribal Wars heeft het in het Duitse Hamburg gevestigde bedrijf ook grote successen behaald met games als Grepolis en Forge of Empires.
