Amplitude Studios today released the second video in their "4X" series of trailers showcasing the meaning of each “X” (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate) in their upcoming grand-scale sci-fi strategy game Endless Space 2.

Amplitude Studios announced today that the 8th major faction for their sci-fi grand strategy game, Endless Space®2, will be available via Steam on May 19. The Unfallen civilization, completely designed by the community, utilizes gameplay modeled around a tree metaphor, with the Unfallen’s homeworld being the trunk, as they slowly expand via their tendrils - colonizing systems that are nearest their homeworld. To lose their homeworld is to lose their entire empire, as the Unfallen must maintain contact with their homeworld to survive.

As Endless Space 2 is due to release May 19, Amplitude Studios is taking everyone deeper into the Endless universe through a series of four new videos - each aimed at showcasing the individual “X”s in the 4X grand strategy genre (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate) core to Endless Space 2. In the first video, released today, Amplitude showcases what it means to eXplore in the Endless Universe as players journey to the stars, meet new alien races, investigate strange ruins and odd signals, and much more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm6Flesu_Fk
