Sonic Team released the second episode of the SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS: Dark Beginnings prologue animation, following Shadow the Hedgehog as he dives into his tragic past to confront the origins of his haunting nightmares of conflict and loss.

Studio Zero Game Director Katsura Hashino announced today at the Metaphor Launch Event in Tokyo, Japan, during the week of Tokyo Game Show (TGS), that the Prologue Demo for ATLUS’ highly-anticipated fantasy RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio is now available on Xbox for free.

SEGA released the third and final OST video for SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS, giving a glimpse of the reimagined track from Chaos Island: Act 1, originally composed by Tomoya Ohtani and remixed by R.B.U. The video features animated art of Shadow inspired by the Zone and its gameplay. 

A VOD of the Metaphor: ReFantazio segment on Xbox @ Gamescom Livestream hosted earlier today can be found here at 03:19:00 of the VOD. During the stream, there was a pre-recorded video from Studio Zero director Katsura Hashino who introduced viewers to the brand-new trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio “Travel Beyond Fantasy”, which focuses on the journey for the Royal Tournament. The trailer revealed the Protagonist traveling far and wide, campaigning to win support from the people of the United Kingdom of Euchronia in the hopes of being elected as their new King and take the Throne.

During gamescom’s Opening Night Live 2024, ATLUS announced a special challenge battle will be added to Persona 3 Reload next month as part of Episode Aigis -The Answer-. This final content release for the Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass is set to be released September 10, 2024.

Today, in support of SEGA’s return to gamescom 2024, the Sonic Team released a new SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS trailer focused on Shadow’s all-new Doom Powers. From surfing on water to flying over obstacles, the trailer is filled with high-speed gameplay and highlights the new abilities, stages such as Chaos Island from Sonic Frontiers™, and boss challenges fans can expect to play through this fall.

Today ATLUS announced the full English voice cast for Metaphor: ReFantazio, including the voice role for the Protagonist. To celebrate this, Metaphor: ReFantazio will be part of the Xbox @ Gamescom 2024, hosting a voice actor interview and showing brand-new content. A demo of the fantasy JRPG from ATLUS will also be available for Gamescom audiences to play at the Xbox booth all week and will be launching on the Xbox Series X|S and Windows on 11th October.
