LOS ANGELES (January 28, 2026) – Monster Train 2, one of the decade’s most acclaimed deckbuilders hailed for its innovative style of strategic card battles, will gain its biggest post-launch update yet in Destiny of the Railforged. Big Fan, a Devolver Digital publishing label, and developer Shiny Shoe unveiled and toured the upcoming DLC today in a new trailer while confirming its February 2 launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for 9,99 €. Destiny of the Railforged will launch on Nintendo Switch shortly after.

Destiny of the Railforged Features
- An All-new Game Mode: Brave the new Soul Savior mode to wrest powerful Souls from the clutches of the unstoppable Lifemother and her twisted children
- Battle a crew of new bosses in any order you wish, enduring curses with each beast slain in exchange for access to boosted rewards
- Equip the Souls you free from each boss to cards in your deck to earn a huge array of powerful effects

- New Playable Forces: Available for play in all game modes and existing content, the formidable Railforged Clan that built the very trains you battle on throughout the series is ready to join the battle for the first time through two new playable characters:
- Lead the clan as Herzal, the renowned blacksmith that personally crafted the Rail you ride and the Boneshaker train featured in Monster Train
- Realize the might of Heph, the hammer-wielding powerhouse who crafted the Covenant Outpost and the Skullcrusher engine central to Monster Train 2
Separately from Destiny of the Railforged, Shiny Shoe will also welcome the Wurmkin Clan into Monster Train 2 on Feb. 2 as an addition free to all players. The Wurmkin’s abilities have been comprehensively refined to align with the feature set and design of Monster Train 2. This mighty Clan rose from the depths of hell in the original Monster Train where they became a name feared by foes across the land thanks to their proficiency in wide-reaching buffs and spells.
Destiny of the Railforged follows a generous cadence of free content updates dealt to tacticians since Monster Train 2’s initial launch, each of which added significant new challenges and strategic opportunities to master.
