The final free update for smash hit ball-bouncing roguelite BALL x PIT is here! The Naturalist Update, available now on all platforms, adds even more characters, Balls, and Passives to the game, greatly expanding the possibilities of a run.
NEW CHARACTERS
Get your hands on two new unlockable characters. The Ballbearer doubles down on firepower (literally), giving you double the amount of Ball slots to build an arsenal at the cost of giving up passive items entirely. The Hoary Hoarder takes the opposite approach, lugging around an oversized backpack stuffed with gear. They only have room for two Ball slots, but make up for it with twice as many passive slots, letting powerful item Evolutions do the heavy lifting.
NEW BALLS
The Naturalist Update also adds 11 new Balls to the mix. Lightning Bug lights up the battlefield by spawning a firefly with every bounce, seeking out the strongest enemy before zapping nearby targets with a burst of lightning. Drill tears through enemies from behind, piercing straight through them and dealing extra damage along the way. Armageddon calls down a destructive meteor shower from the heavens the moment it hits an enemy.
NEW PASSIVES
The update also features 5 new Passives with game-changing powers including the Platinum Dumbbell, which rewards clean shots, giving your Balls a damage boost that lasts until they finally collide with the back wall. Inglorious Hammer keeps the pressure on after a bounce, causing Balls that hit a wall or the back of the arena to immediately strike a random enemy for reduced damage, and Remote Detonator, which makes downed enemies spawn explosive Bomb Balls.
BALL x PIT’s final free update, The Naturalist Update, is available now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile platforms (Google Play, App Store).
