Following a partnership with VfL Wolfsburg, fans of FIFA 16 will be able to tune in every Thursday to live streams on Hitbox from two of the world’s best FIFA players - Benedikt ‘SaLz0r’ Saltzer and David ‘DaveBtw’ Bytheway. Hitbox’s partnership with VfL Wolfsburg and its FIFA 16 players will help connect the fans of esports, football and FIFA 16 in a unique and interactive way, furthering growth and interest across all three audiences.

Hitbox, home to millions of video game live streamers and esports enthusiasts from around the world, is deepening its expansion into the esports realm with three strategic partnerships. Two new agreements include: a two-year broadcasting deal for all ESL-produced esports content; and the exclusive live streaming rights for all Russian and Portuguese DreamHack content. Additionally, game developer and publisher, Wargaming, has announced it will broadcast its biggest esports event of the year, the World of Tanks Grand Finals, on Hitbox on April 8 and 9.

Hitbox, home to millions of PC game livestreamers and eSports enthusiasts from around the world, kicked off the 4K eSports era with a live streaming exhibition match in full 4K resolution at 60 frames per second for the first time ever over the weekend. Called 4K Heroes, the live demonstration featured Blizzard Entertainment’s Heroes of the Storm™ with popular teams G2 eSports, TCM Gaming, Team Liquid, and Virtus Pro competing. A recording of the December 6th event featuring all the exciting Heroes of the Storm action in stunning 4K 60fps is now available at Hitbox.tv/4KHeroes.

Hitbox, home to millions of PC game livestreamers and esports enthusiasts, revealed it successfully closed a $4 million growth round of investment to expand its North American operations and worldwide reach. The round was led by Vienna-based VC-firm Speedinvest and also includes leading free-to-play MMO developer and publisher, Wargaming.net; North Base Media; as well as angel investors. Sean Lee, Chief Strategy Officer at Wargaming will join the board of directors. This investment follows a seed round of $1 million from angel investors, which closed in 2014.
