Today, CCP Games’ Shanghai studio is thrilled to announce the release of an all-new game update for Gunjack 2: End of Shift – the fast-paced turret shooter set in EVE Online®’s science fiction universe, built from the ground up for mobile VR using Unreal Engine 4. This game update is available for download now and is free for all owners of Gunjack 2: End of Shift.
The new update brings four major new additions to the game, bringing greater depth and replayability to Gunjack 2’s incredibly immersive VR gameplay. To see the action, watch the new trailer here:
With Challenges, players will be matched against others in a competition for the highest score in a mutator enhanced mission. Mutators dramatically alter the characteristics of a Challenge and players must adapt accordingly if they want to prove that they are the top Gunjack!
The Daily Shift has now become the Weekly Shift, in which seven procedurally generated new missions will be made available each week for players to dive into at their leisure. High scores for each mission will be displayed on a leaderboard, rewarding those players best able to destroy waves of attackers and defend the Kubera.
With the new Progression System, both Challenges and the Weekly Shift reward experience, allowing players to unlock a range of special weapon upgrades and the all-new Pyro Slicer, a fiery destruction dispenser! Upgrades include the ‘Maelstrom’ Autocannon, built for raw damage and faster reloads and the ‘Carnage’ Flak Cannon, with its larger area-of-effect really puts the “Aaaargghhhhh!” in carnage.
To round off this update, the new Loadout System adds greater strategic depth to the game by enabling players to customize their special weapon loadouts for the Challenges and Weekly Shift game modes. Now players have more ways to hone their skills and become the greatest Gunjack that ever lived… if they can survive the would-be plunderers trying to blow their rig apart.
