Just in time for Sonic’s birthday, today, SEGA released Sonic Origins, the multi-game collection reintroducing the original 2D Sonic titles that were first released on the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive – Sonic The Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD – digitally remastered for current generation platforms. Sonic Origins is now available digitally starting at 39.99 € across PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch™ family of systems and PC.
To celebrate the launch, the Sonic Team released a brand-new trailer for Sonic Origins, featuring Sonic’s spin-dashing adventures from the past to the present.
In Sonic Origins, players will experience the legendary, non-stop Sonic action found in the original games with a fresh twist. Featuring remastered visuals, added features, bonus characters, new content and more, players can switch between Anniversary Mode – eliminating time limits with unlimited lives – or play in Classic Mode to experience the original games’ screens and rules.
