Pigeons at Play and Devolver Digital’s acclaimed co-op shooter Mycopunk has been growing and mutating like the gruesome alien fungi its robot heroes have been sent to eradicate – and the latest update, dubbed Oxythane Breach, is its biggest and most dramatic transformation yet.
Free for anyone who owns the base game, this hefty update adds a planet-sized chunk of fresh new content to Mycopunk, such as:
- Two new levels, including the fungally compromised Oxythane Facility
- Gargantuan new enemies, including the Missilehead, which launches volleys of projectiles straight from the top of its dome
- A powerful new weapon: the bullet-spraying Accelerator
- New turbo-charged upgrades that grant Exotics new abilities, including stat boosts and new behaviours, in exchange for Strange Components
- Unmentionable new secrets to discover
The Oxythane Breach update also introduces a killer new mode titled Paid Time Off, which drops you and up to five other co-op buddies into New Atlas and lets you complete random objectives for as long as you like, extracting at your leisure. But be warned: the longer you stay, the angrier enemies become.
This is Mycopunk’s biggest update yet, so to celebrate we’re giving the game a 20% discount on Steam for a week. There’s never been a better time to join the New Atlas Hazard crew and show those fungal freaks who’s boss.
