Tencent’s Arena of Valor Launches on Nintendo Switch Next Month

Tencent Games today announced that Arena of Valor will launch as a free-to-play title on the Nintendo Switch in September 2018. Arena of Valor is the world’s first 5v5 team-based game to launch on Switch, and its launch on the Nintendo platform brings new as well as familiar modes for fans who have been competing on mobile.

Tencent Games and ESL are announcing a second season of the fast-paced mobile sports competition for Arena of Valor. An exhibition featuring top European talent will kickoff Valor Series season 2 at this year’s gamescom expo in Cologne, Germany, followed by its official season start on September 8, and eight weeks of gripping mobile esports in three regions, North America, Europe and Latin America, with 18 total teams.

Summoners War: Europe-Tournament starts qualifying round on August 12


On Sunday, August 12, the top 128 Summoners War players in Europe will compete in an online-qualifier to win one of eight coveted spots at the European regionals in Berlin. Matches start from 14:00 GMT+2 and select battles across all group phases will be shown via live stream in four languages.
